The King of Bahrain Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, honored the Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks and President & Chief Executive of Al Baraka Banking Group, Adnan Ahmed Yousif, for his leadership and in playing an important and distinguished role towards supporting and developing the Arab Banking Sector, besides his effective presence in the Arab and International Economic Forums. The honor is also a recognition of Mr. Yousif's role as an excellent Bahraini in the Arab world who has contributed significantly as an economist , in is capacity as the Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks.

The Honor was conferred upon Mr. Adnan Ahmed Yousif, during a ceremony held at the Sakhir Palace on the occasion the 40th National Day and the 12th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne. At this all important and special occasion, Mr. Yousif said "This honor gives us the resolve and determination to continue to serve the Kingdom and work with dedication to achieve the march towards the goals set by the wise leadership by realizing the aspirations and enhancing the image of Bahrain's bright outlook at all levels, particularly the economic, financial and banking sectors".
