Blogs | Values close to my heart
November 28, 2010 | Adnan Ahmed Yousif

Since my young days I was groomed to be cognizant of my surroundings and to absorb rich family values that were ever present in our home. Humility is perhaps my most cherished value – I was taught this from a very early age. Those days lessons were learnt by observation and not by instruction. My father was my role model and my mother was my confidant and from whom I developed many of my values.

My sense of moral uprightness and justice were qualities that come to me naturally and I hold these close to my heart. But the most important lesson I learnt from my family was to respect human beings – a trait that has till today been responsible for my successes.

My parents taught me to be grateful to the Almighty for all his bounty, for without his benevolence I would be nothing today.
